Mark Polinsky:
Prior to forming Lake Park Capital, LLC, Mr. Polinsky was the CEO of VisionTek, an Illinois based manufacturer of computer components that he founded in 1988. Under his leadership, the firm grew revenues to over $300 million annually and employed 500 people. While at VisionTek, Mr. Polinsky founded Strategic Management Advisors, a firm that manages multiple hedge and venture funds with managed assets in excess of $100 million. Furthermore, Mr. Polinsky has invested in and participated in several other business ventures including but not limited to an electronics contract manufacturer and Hartsko Financial, a firm that provides purchase order financing to growing and under capitalized companies.

During Mr. Polinsky’s career, he has employed, managed, and worked with COO’s, CFO’s , CIO’s, etc. He has created new products, entered new sales channels, and created manufacturing capabilities oversees in Asia and in Mexico. Furthermore, he has overseen the construction of new manufacturing facilities, exited unprofitable product lines, and even rolled up his sleeves to pack boxes in order to meet customer deadlines.

Recently, Mr. Polinsky engineered the sale of VisionTek and with the guidance of Mr. Polinsky, VisionTek now focuses on sales and marketing and outsources all manufacturing overseaes. Mr. Polinsky also engineered the purchase of a financially distressed camera company, a financially distressed business which after involvement and guidance by Mr. Polinsky is now profitable. A separate partnership formed and principally funded by Mr. Polinsky purchased the assets of a distressed electronics contract manufacturer. Under Mr. Polinsky’s ownership and leadership, the company quickly achieved profitability and was subsequently sold to a strategic investor.

Mr. Polinsky has won the following awards Inc, 500 Entrepreneur of the Year; induction into Arthur Anderson’s Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame, induction into KPMG Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame, Crain’s Export Award, Fortune Magazine’s Smartest People under 40, and multiple listings in Crain’s Top 100 Private Chicagoland Companies.

Mr., Polinsky has a B.A. in from Michigan State University with honors and a J.D. from DePaul University. Mr. Polinsky practiced corporate law in Chicago from 1986 to 1988. He also started the VisionTek Foundation and has raised over $5 million for cancer and leukemia research.
Mr. Polinsky is married with three children and enjoys coaching soccer and playing a variety of sports.
